About Me
- Name: Lin
- Location: Topanga, CA
I was born in Washington, DC to a young English warbride and an American pa. I grew up equally comfortable on either side of the Atlantic. In late spring, my mother would take me out of my American school, we'd hop a plane or a ship and make our way to England where she'd promptly stick me in a school in my grandparents' neighborhood. As a result, both countries are a comfortable fit. My husband (Himself) is English, our first child was born in London and the second in Washington, DC. And now we're in Southern California, comfortably hunkered down in the Santa Monica Mountains.

Beautiful!!!
Reminds me of the poppy scene from the Wizard of Oz
Wow, they're really orange!
I'm guessing they're not opium-producing or they'd be eradicated by now...
Yay - lovely things - and the magic of the flowered land, usually dead. And by the way - note to Junebee - opium poppies are quite a different breed- and purple! (They grow on my land. But noone processes them.)
Beautiful photos, as always. Loved your Easter photos, too! (I'm just now getting caught up.)
lovely! i'm waiting for the ones in my front yard to bloom.
And I thought poppies were red.
There goes another preconception...
Your pics are beautiful...and so are your grandchildren. Thanks for sharing !
I'm with jlb, those are definately the Wizard of Oz poppies. They are breathtaking! My granddaughter would want to pick every one of them.
Beautiful! Thank you for posting them!
