About Me
- Name: Lin
- Location: Topanga, CA
I was born in Washington, DC to a young English warbride and an American pa. I grew up equally comfortable on either side of the Atlantic. In late spring, my mother would take me out of my American school, we'd hop a plane or a ship and make our way to England where she'd promptly stick me in a school in my grandparents' neighborhood. As a result, both countries are a comfortable fit. My husband (Himself) is English, our first child was born in London and the second in Washington, DC. And now we're in Southern California, comfortably hunkered down in the Santa Monica Mountains.

You have a very busy garden! I would love to have all of those visitors to my garden except the snake. Your snake makes the one we have look like a worm.

Daisy, it's a Gopher Snake...a good snake! Not that I knew that when I was reaching for the hose and saw it silently slithering away. I was sure it was a rattler, but got that wrong, much to my relief.
Fantastic pictures Lin and here's to another year of wild life (and lives)! The snake at the end, crikey that's a bit large isn't it???!! Oh wait have just read your explaination that it was a harmless snake not a scary one.
