Housework Meme...If you're not asleep quite yet, this should do it

This meme landed in my mailbox, I think inadvertently. I didn't know the sender and when I dropped her a note saying I got it, but why...she sent one back to me that basically asked who I was. Nothing like a meme for forcing you to put fingers to keyboard.

aprons - y/n?
Yes, but left untied for quick removal and only worn when I’m wearing clothes I could care less about. When wearing anything special, I apparently (according to my husband) rarely wear an apron and choose to spot said special item with any splattering food on the bubble at the time and then curse loudly.

baking – sometimes, but more a part of my old life. Baking is definitely more enjoyable when it’s cold outside. When it’s hot, buy it from a bakery; they have better exhaust fans.

clothesline - y/n? Yes, yes, yes. Not only does it give me some weird, fundamental pleasure, but it would also make Al [gore] happy.

donuts - ever made them? No, but I have fried up a mess of beignets. Ohmygod, talk about heaven.

everyday - one homemaking thing you do everyday? Silly question. We all cook and tidy up and do the same bits every day.

freezer - do you have a separate deep freezer? Nah. I’d rather run out of stuff and drive down the damned Canyon and go shopping every day [apparently]. In truth, I prefer it fresh. The freezer on the bottom of my fridge holds strange treasures. Weight Watchers Popsicles and Belgian profiteroles from Trader Joes. English sausages and steak and kidney pies {I know, I know] from the closest English shop. Also, bags of frozen fruit and old bananas in zippies for soymilk smoothies in the morning.

garbage disposal - y/n?- yes, but only a couple of times a week cos we're on septic and it's sensitive enough without adding eggshells and orange rinds to the mix.

handbook - y/n? Huh?.

ironing - love it or hate it? I am more inclined to love than hate ironing and I don’t know why.

junk drawer - where is it? One in the kitchen and t’other is the top drawer on my bedside table.

kitchen - design and decorating? Clean, modern, functional with lots of food prep space. Decorating? If that means what colors then orange and pale yellow.

love - what is your favorite part of homemaking? Cooking for company and entertaining.

mop - y/n? Sponge mop, but mainly just sweep and spot clean between cleaning ladies day.

nylons - wash them by hand or in the washer? Are you kidding?

oven - do you use the window or open it to check? Open it. I can’t see through the window.

pizza -
what do you put on yours? Just about everything and I love anchovies.

quiet - what do you do during the day when you get a quiet moment? Read, write a little, check that the outside pots of flowers aren’t drying out.

recipe card box –
got rid of that years ago. I have too many cookbooks and loose recipes are kept on my hard drive.

style of house –
Kind of a mishmash but the overall impression, I think, is Southwest (US)

tablecloths and napkins - y/n? I only use cloth napkins and probably have at least a half dozen sets of 12. No formal dining room any more (YAY!). It’s a farmhouse kitchen table so a tablecloth is used but rarely..

under the kitchen sink – Simple, non-toxic cleaning supplies (cos of grandbabies), some spare paper towels and one of my favorites, Goo Gone (which is great for getting not just labels but gum from pine/xmas trees off your hands).

vacuum - how many times a week? Once a week with lots of sweeping inbetween. Mainly non-carpeted floors.

wash - how many loads do you do a week? Three or so. There are just two of us at home now.

x’es - do you keep a list of things to do and cross them off? No, but my husband would be the happiest man on earth if I did.

yard - who does what? We mainly do the primping but our gardener is here for eight hours every Monday. He does most everything and without him, much of this outdoor space would still be a mystery.

zzz’s - what is your last homemaking task for the day? I don’t extend the homemaking joy beyond dinnertime. Lights out and what’s not done remains undone.

Ok.. I'm going to copy this! Cute and way not typical for me.

BTW, thanks for the compliment. When I lean up the last 20#, I'll show even more!

I say thank God for Swiffer*, since between their mops and dusters they have many of these tasks covered for me.

Except for the donut making.

*(I know, not very environmentally sound, but I make up for it by obsessive recycling.)
